The Antenna Gallery (9, rue Felix Faure, Dakar) – in existence since 1972, this gallery is dedicated to African tribal art. Among the items shown are the Marthe Everlé and Claude Everlé collections (consisting of wooden masks, figures, stools and beds from 15 countries in West and Central Africa, along with Benin and Dogon bronzes and terracotta). Political figures such as French President Jacques Chirac and former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan have been among the high profile visitors to this gallery. Hours: 9:30 am – 1pm, 4 pm-7: 30 pm (Monday and Saturday); 9:30 am – 1 pm, 3:30 pm – 7:30 pm (Tuesday – Friday).
