La Calebasse (Route des Almadies, top floor of “Art Afrik”, Dakar): this restaurant serves various traditional local meals (centering around fish items, such as the highly-recommended shrimp with honey. Since it’s located above the “Art Afrik” art gallery, there are numerous African artworks and wooden sculptures throughout the restaurant, giving it a unique ambiance. Occasional live music is also provided.
