Alexandra (Rue Wagane Diouf, Dakar) – this is a nightspot where the local dance music known as Mbalax can be heard. That music is a fusion of popular jazz, soul, and rock, mixed with some Latin and blended with sabar (the traditional drumming and dance music of Senegal).
